Cheap defense. What alcohol did was to just make you less inhibitive, and more daring to strike.Your aggressive behavior is what lead you to abuse your fiancee.I guess its a good thing that this happened before you wasted time, and resources on marriage.
Problems are less severe, and common,in relationships with mature couples that respect, love, care, protect one another, and are in the relationship for the right reasons. And yes problems are more common in those that lack the aforementioned attributes.
We read and see more horrifying effects, and results of domestic abuse. It is good that Amber is still standing above the ground instead of laying under it.
And yes there is not excuse for domestic abuse under any circumstances, except where your life is in danger. In that case you married a devil for a spouse.
Being so ashamed of their book admonishing them to beat their wives, muslims have tried to attenuate the impact ,and effect by saying- hit her with a "toothbrush".Some scholars say beat her, but dont leave a mark.I say dont beat her.Assault, and battery are against the law, even in Kenya.
Before you attack my stand or position as being sanctimonious, give me a good reason why your wife would warrant a beating/abuse,or under what circumstances.

yes, problems are commonplace in every relationship Kennedy but stooping yourself too low to hit your partner just tells what kind of a person you are. Provoked or not, you could have chosen to walk away but you chose physical assault. People pls Don't blame alcohol for you actions or don't drink if you can't control yourself. No woman or man should be subjected to physical assault in any relationship otherwise then don't be in a relationship.
