Anglican Church of Kenya Rejects Church of England’s Resolution to Bless Gay Marriages

The Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) has distanced itself from the recent resolution by the Church of England to bless same-sex marriages.

In a statement on Saturday, Archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit termed the move by the ACK parent church as hypocritical and sinful, insisting that the ACK abhors homosexuality as it is against the teachings of Christianity.

Sapit, who is the head of the ACK Church, further called in the Church of England to repent and shun away from misleading teachings.

“It is ridiculous that the Church of England affirms to remain faithful to the traditional teachings of marriage yet have sanctioned the so-called prayers of love to be used in their Churches to bless unions between persons of same-sex. This is hypocritical and a blatant lie for there is only one truth and not many versions or opinions of it,” Sapit noted.

“The General Synod of the Church of England makes legislations for the Church of England, and their resolutions apply only to the Church of England. Whereas we in the Anglican Church of Kenya (ACK) are saddened by the departure of our mother Church from the true Gospel, their resolutions do not apply to us and we do not recognize any teaching that is extra-biblical or contrary to the teachings of the Bible.”

He added: “We in the Anglican Church of Kenya call upon these Western liberal Provinces to repent and return to the one and only faith in Jesus Christ as revealed and taught in the Canonical scriptures of the Church.”

The ACK affirmed that marriage, as taught in the bible is between one man and one woman, monogamous and heterosexual.

“Any deviation from this God-designed covenant relationship is sinful and unacceptable. We affirm that the Holy Scripture is authoritative in all matters of faith and any departure from the historic formularies and the plain teachings of the scripture is an error and must be corrected,” stated Ole Sapit.

“Rhetoric of political and secular correctness will only serve to undermine the one and only pure Gospel, and unless these churches preach the Gospel as we inherited it, they will soon be irrelevant and lose their identity as a Church.”

Why can't they disconnect with the Church of England aka Church of the devil completely? Nothing good has come from these mzungus. They are now introducing opening the boot to Africans.

Africa put itself in the position it's in today.May be our ancestors did not know any better or worse they were cowards. There was no reason what so ever not to stand up to mzungu even if he had guns.He would not have killed them all.Could it be that our leaders were just as weak as they are today?
We had our own way of life. We had our religion, our games, our traditions. We had all it took to sustain us.Yes all we had to do is stand up to mzungu.Force him to respect us as equals, and worthy of making our own society.

Simply break away and form your own branch not everything that is foreign or approved by the white man is right.Take what is good and dump the rest.Protestants revolted against the teachings of the Catholic Church and formed their own church you can also do the same.Religion to date is still responsible for many wars why waste time arguing about bible teachings and abnormal human behavior .The queers and non binary can also form their own church instead of insisting on total acceptance and it is rather obvious most do not want them there

I'm gay and I'm proud. Like I said before, I'll say it again. Hate us or not, but in 5 years to come, LGBTQ will be ruling the world. Bookmark this comment.
