Death Announcement: Lawrence "Uncle" Thumbi Mwai of Baltimore, Maryland

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lawrence Thumbi Mwai, commonly known as Uncle Mwai. Uncle Mwai passed on Thursday January 21, 2022 in a road accident in Baltimore, Maryland.

The late Mwai was a loving son to Christine Gathii (Kenya). He was the father of Maureen Thumbi (Kenya), and dear brother to Anthony Gitonga (Kenya) and Consolata Mumbi Gitonga (Kenya).

Uncle Mwai hailed from Tumutumu in Nyeri County, Kenya.

Mwai will be laid to rest in in Tumutumu, Nyeri County - date to be announced

Is there an insurance scheme out there that we (Diaspora) can invest in? We are using a lot of "good" money on funerals.

Term life insurance, very inexpensive. For the price of pizza or #1 at mac D a month you can get $100,000 worth of insurance, it will not only cover funeral but leave something to those you leave behind. Age and health a condition on premium a month.
