Death Announcement: Evelyn Muthoni Mwangi

It is with profound sadness that we inform you of the passing of Evelyn Muthoni Mwangi, former headmistress of both Kerugoya Girls and Chinga Girls High Schools in Kenya, on November 13th 2023, after a brief illness.
 
She was daughter of the Late Mr. John Njoroge and Mrs. Eunice Njoroge, and the daughter-in-law of the Late John Gachoka and Rose Gachoka.
 
Evelyn was the beloved wife of Duncan Mwangi Gachoka and mother to Christine Nyawira Enetak & Kinglsley Enetak and Hilda Waithira Mwangi Graves & Eric Graves.
 
She was cherished by her siblings, Mary Kihiko, the late Emma Kagunya, Jemimah Njeri, the late Patrick Wangurunga, the late Peter Maina, the late Martha Wambui, Rose Nyambura, Jane Mumbi, Shem Mwaura, Agnes Wanjiku, Margaret Nduta and Samuel Kimani.
 
She is also survived by sisters and a brother-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, former students and friends, too many to name, all of whom held a special place in her heart.
 
Viewing is scheduled for Saturday, November 25th 2023 at Nyeri Funeral Home at Outspan Hospital at 8:00 am, followed by a Requiem Mass at 10:15 am at Consolata Catholic Cathedral in Nyeri.

 Interment will take place in the United States (Baltimore, MD) at a later date.
