Gor Mahia have won the 2025/2026 SportPesa Premier League title, extending their record tally to 22 league championships.

President William Ruto congratulated the club on its latest success, describing the achievement as the result of discipline, teamwork and consistency throughout the season. He said the title was an important moment for Kenyan football and would encourage young players across the country to pursue excellence in the sport.

“Hongera K’Ogalo on this historic achievement. May this success inspire even greater triumphs in the years ahead and bring further glory to Kenyan football,” the President said. He also urged the team to represent the country strongly in the upcoming CAF Champions League campaign.

The Football Kenya Federation (FKF) also praised the club’s performance. FKF President Hussein Mohammed said Gor Mahia’s title-winning season reflected the high level of competition in the league. He confirmed that the champions will receive KSh15 million from the league’s KSh20 million prize fund.

Hussein thanked all clubs that took part in the competition, saying their performances helped make the season one of the most competitive and entertaining in recent years. He added that the federation remains committed to improving the league and will continue working closely with clubs and other stakeholders to strengthen the competition.

He also acknowledged the contribution of partners, including SportPesa, Azam Media and the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation, for supporting the league and helping increase its reach. Fans were similarly recognised for their continued support throughout the season.

The latest title further strengthens Gor Mahia’s position as the most successful club in Kenyan football history. Attention will now turn to the CAF Champions League, where the club will seek to build on its domestic success against leading teams from across the continent.
