Gov’t Opens Probe into Kenya Qatar Diaspora Sacco over alleged Mishandling of Members’ Deposits

The government has placed Kenya Qatar Diaspora Sacco Society under scrutiny following allegations of mismanagement of members’ funds.

In a Gazette notice on Friday, acting commissioner for Co-operative Development Geoffrey Njang'ombe said a probe into the allegations had been launched and a report will be filed with his office in two weeks.

The society has offices in Nairobi and Qatar and mainly targets Kenyan immigrants working and living in the Gulf state.

The Sacco was founded by automotive engineer and churchman Habakuk Wamududa (chairman), Pastor Emmanuel Mbadi (vice-chairman), and engineer Boniface Mbugua (treasurer). The society is expected to provide books for audit.

“I authorize the assistant director of co-operative audit Nelson Nyaga and principal co-operative officer Fenn Nzovu, both from Nairobi to hold an inquiry into operations of the Kenya Qatar Diaspora Sacco Society within fifteen days,” read the notice.

Two church guys to attract the gullible and two engineers to cook the books.
None with experience to run a Sacco.

Kama ilivyo kawaida, Wakenya wengine hapa. Wanachora mchoro wa kuchora ukachoreka bila tatizo. Tazama wahusika.

KDS...Kenya Diaspora Sacco, USA... lifestyle audit of the officials will tell you that sacco officials, when they 'look out for "your investments"', they invest for themselves first by getting the cream of those 'deals'.....their lives change forever, while you and me borrow a few millions that we pay through the nose and yet the deal never ends being as good as what they end up with. Officials eat their cake by milking the members...and throwing them some crumbs
