Kenyan Man Narrates Success Story in the US Real Estate Industry

Kenyans residing in the United States are actively purchasing land, with Stephen Kamau, a fellow Kenyan, playing a significant role in simplifying the property acquisition process.

Kamau, hailing from Kariobangi South in Kenya, left his home country after completing his secondary education at Nairobi School in 2000. Seeking new opportunities, he relocated to the United States, initially finding a home in College Station, Texas, before eventually settling in Dallas. It was in 2018 that Kamau decided to try his hand in the real estate business, creating Exellion Group, a firm that offers a blend of real estate and insurance services.

As a realtor, Kamau specializes in overseeing the buying and selling of both residential and commercial properties, as well as assisting clients with leasing arrangements. Alongside his real estate ventures, Kamau boasts an impressive 15-year background in insurance. Over the course of his professional journey, he has gained extensive expertise in various insurance fields, including property, life, and health policies. Kamau has also successfully managed general agents and skillfully navigated claims adjustment processes.

Kamau speaks of his stint at Capital One Bank, where he was employed up until the onset of the 2007 recession that led to a wave of layoffs caused by the housing credit crisis in America. He recalls that Neema Gospel Church, of which he was once a regular attendee, was known for hosting early morning prayer sessions presided over by Bishop Jackson Kingori. At one of these sessions, the pastor presented him with a chance to join the insurance sector and urged him to give it some thought.

Taking his advice to heart, he set out on a path in this field. His professional journey has afforded him the opportunity to support close to 60-70 families on their journey towards achieving homeownership, while also assisting roughly 20 families in acquiring land.
