Faith Wanjiku took the 1st runner-up position, while former Miss Universe Kenya 2018 Wabaiya Kariuki secured the 2nd runner-up position.

The pageant attracted more than 1,000 applicants from across the country, with only 42 making it to the boot camp. 17 contestants made it to the finals of Miss World Kenya 2022.

The gala for the 2022 Miss World Kenya was graced by Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Sports, and the Arts Ababu Namwamba as the chief guest.

Speaking at the event, Namwamba called on Kenyans to reflect on the impact of beauty pageants on our society’s social, economic, and political spheres.

He also pledged the ministry’s support to help take the beauty pageantry and the creatives to the next level, saying there was still a lot of untapped potential in the creative economy sector, particularly the pageantry industry.

Miss World Kenya is celebrating 50 years of its existence in Kenya this year. The prestigious pageant is franchised by Ashleys Kenya Limited.

Beauty..... is in the eye of the beholder. I just don't see it in her, but I'm probably out of touch with what constitutes the beauty.

I am sure what you see in her is not"ugliness",if so,your are an exception...I wouldn't call her the most beautiful girl in Kenya,or even one of the top ten,but she is pretty.
Anyway, I have always opposed this parading of women as commercial goods. What value does beaut contests add to society?Aren't we all beautiful in our own ways?I would rather we judge her by her achievements, such as scholastic scores, creativity, artistic ability...etc.
