Kenyan Community in Qatar Launches Doha Morans Rugby Football Club

Doha Morans Rugby Football Club has made its debut in Qatar, bringing together members of the Kenyan community and receiving support from Kenya’s Ambassador to the country, Mohamed Nur Adan.

The club played its inaugural match in an event attended by Kenyans living in Qatar and the ambassador. Its launch marks an effort to strengthen community ties among Kenyans abroad through sport.

According to the Kenyan Embassy in Doha, the club aims to give Kenyans in Qatar a place to connect, build relationships and maintain their shared interest in rugby. The sport has a strong following in Kenya, and the new club provides an opportunity for residents to continue participating in it while living overseas.

The initiative also creates an opportunity for Kenyans to engage with Qatar’s sporting community. Sporting clubs can bring together people from different backgrounds while supporting social interaction and cultural exchange. Doha Morans RFC will allow Kenyan residents to take part in local sporting activities while maintaining links with their community.
