Miguna Fails to Get an Emergency Travel Document for a Second Day

Lawyer Miguna Miguna says officials at the Kenyan embassy in Berlin, Germany have for the second time refused to comply with a court order to issue him with a travel document.

Through Twitter, Miguna says he visited the embassy again on Tuesday carrying a copy of the order issued by High Court judge Hedwig Ong’udi on Monday.

“I found three Kenyan Embassy staff - Alexander Karuma, Emma Malinda, and Esther Mungai - who showed so much hatred towards me and contempt for Court Orders that one would be mistaken to think that Kenya belongs to them,” Miguna tweeted.

“Ms. Mungai, Ms. Malinda, and Mr. Karuma refused to comply with the order.”

Justice Ong’udi directed Miguna to obtain a one-way emergency travel certificate from the Kenyan High Commission in Ottawa or the mission in Germany within 72 hours to facilitate his travel to Kenya.

Miguna visited the Berlin mission hours later but officials informed him that they received instructions from Nairobi to deny him the travel document.

“Amb. Tom Amolo hurriedly left at 2 PM. Ushered to the boardroom by Emma Mabinda, Karuma, and Esther Mungai and told that if they comply with Justice Ong’udi’s order and issue me with a travel document, they would lose their jobs,” Miguna claimed.

“Emma Mabinda specifically told me that she has received instructions from Nairobi not to comply with the court order.”

Miguna, who was deported to Canada in 2018, was set to travel to Kenya on November 16th but he was barred from boarding a Nairobi-bound France Air flight in Berlin over a red alert allegedly issued by the Kenyan government.

His lawyers moved to court seeking to have the red alert lifted, with Justice Ong’udi directing Miguna to obtain an emergency travel certificate.

Renunciation of Citizenship is not an imaginary process.

    It’s is a legal process.

Someone needs to tell the Government of Kenya to stop embarazzing Kenyans.

Miguna is embarrassing Kenyans and the black race! Only a monkey can behave the way he does! Probably you behave in the same money Miguna does since you are so caught up in his crap!

The GoK should stop embarrazzing Kenyans.

    This is not embrassment.
    This is EMBARAZZING!

Renouncing your citizenship is not an imaginary process.

Miguna Miguna is not the food we eat in Kenya! Why don’t you issue him with the papers he think he needs so you can be happy? Don’t be stupid!!

There are more pressing issues to Kenyans than this idiot! Nonsense!

    Talk is cheap!
Miguna is a comfortable talk, like all Black monkeys.

A human being can't sit back comfortably as a fellow human suffers!

Herbivores watch as lion kills their own. That is BLACK FOOLS acting in unison!

The constitution is very clear. Before August 2010, any Kenyan citizen who acquired another citizenship automatically lost their Kenya citizenship since the law did not allow/provide forcdual citizenship.
However after the August 2010 amended constitution, dual citizenship was allowed, and a provision was given for all who had by Law lost their citizenship to regain by applying for “Regaining of Dual Citizenship “.
Shouting you were born in Kenya does not make you legally Kenyan. Following the law that
makes one legally Kenyan is all it takes!
Apply for Dual Citizenship and be free to enter Kenya as a Kenyan!..that is alli it takes!..it is the Law!

As a lawyer, Miguna should understand the process. Ms. Mungai, Ms. Malinda, and Mr. Karuma were not in court, and they will claim ignorance of the order. He need his lawyers to work through the defendant lawyers to get the ministry to notify the embassy of the orders, with instructions on how to proceed. Lawyers (both sides) usually agree on the content of the minsitry's guidance to the embassy staff. Embassy staff will not agree to get guidance from Miguna, and anything from the courts is thru the lawyers with additional implementation instructions to the staff.

    Sue them all!

This ain’t funny & this ain’t about Miguna alone!

The lawlessness among the government officials & their utmost disrespect to the judicial rulings should be certified as dangerous & terroristic! It’s a travesty to our democracy!

common practice is to report to local police authority. Take that report to the embassy and obtain the document, you do not need a court order to do that. Miguna being an alleged immigration lawyer should have done this before he left Canada. He is not the first or the last to use this document. The judge that issued that court order should go back to high school and start again he is missing information that a law student even knows.
